This hotel is a wonderful retreat that offers accommodation in the peaceful and shade-filled comfort in the heart of Stellenbosch Winelands country. The hotel was established in 1947 and throughout its years of service, it has provided many visitors with the comforts of home and stunning vistas of the surrounding scenery. The hotel can be found snuggled up on eight hectares of the SylvanVale Wine Estate in the centre of Devon Valley. The lovely town of Stellenbosch is 6 km and Cape Town International Airport is 25 minutes from the hotel. This hotel has won the Diners Club International Wine List of the Year Gold Award for 2005/2006 and the Platinum Award for 2007. It has also received an award for the being one of the “Great Wine Capitals – Best of Wine Tourism” for accommodations for the years 2006 and 2007. This hotel has also won the 2008 AA Travel Guides American Express Accommodation Awards in the Boutique Hotel class.
