Gambero Rosso Top Italian Wines Roadshow Cape Town

For the very first time Gambero Rosso, the most important multimedia brand in the Italian food and wine world, brings the Top Italian Wines Roadshow to Cape Town on Thursday, 01 December at The Lookout, at the V&A Waterfront.
 
Celebrating 30 years, Gambero Rosso presents an incredible once in a life time opportunity for those in the wine industry and for wine lovers to experience sixty of the best Italian wineries all under one roof. Wine master classes will also be conducted throughout the day and will serve as an all-round educational insight into the Italian wine industry.
 
South Africa is one of six stops on the world tour this year, the others include Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore and Australia. A series of extra stops have also been incorporated to bring the best Italian wines to Bangkok, Palm Springs, Havana, Sao Paulo and Dubai.
 
South Africa and Cape Town specifically, was chosen by Gambero Rosso because it’s already a well-established wine country cultivating some of the world’s best wines and Cape Town is also the first place grapevines were planted outside of Europe, at the end of the 16th Century. Gambero Rosso believes South Africans are refined consumers that understand wine well, have a deep-rooted wine culture and are consumers that are curious and open to exploring wines and foods from other countries.
 
Gambero Rosso Channel will also be traversing through the Cape, capturing the premier wine experiences and wineries, reporting back to Italian viewers across Gambero media channels and online portals.  A variety of Cape Town’s top chefs, leading restaurants and even cooking schools are on the agenda to showcase their finest Italian inspired cuisine and to perfectly pair the dishes with the plethora of fine Italian wines.
