Description
Arrive at Dive Team - PADI 5 star dive centre in Simon's Town.
Get a cup of Coffee or Tea and meet the crew in our cozy lounge area. This is where we discuss the weather conditions and get briefing for the day, complete paperwork and talk about the things we will see during the day.
Next you get your dive equipment while being assisted by your PADI Divemaster or Instructor with sizing and preferences. You will be assisted with assembling your scuba equipment at the Dive Centre and have the opportunity to inspect it and insure it is in perfect working order.
When equipment assembly is completed we load it on our dive boat and make sure that everything needed for the day is packed. You will then receive a detailed safety and dive site briefing by the divemaster or instructor.
We then head off to the boat ramp where the boat will enter the water. Once on the boat the Skipper will give a safety briefing about the vessel and then proceed to the chosen dive sites for the day.
We then spend the day at sea exploring two dive spots. The first scuba dive is usually one of the colorful reef systems that spans from Simon's Town to Cape Point or one of the many historical shipwrecks and gives you the chance to experience the great biodiversity that thrives in the Cape Town waters.
After the first dive we take a break on the boat and enjoy the scenery of the mountains surrounding False Bay, have a hot chocolate and a snack while we warm up for the second dive.
We change our dive tanks to the new ones on the boat and then proceed to the second dive site where we explore the towering kelp forests. This is where we get the chance to see stingrays, catsharks, octopus and other endemic fish species that live in the kelp environment.
After the dives we return to the Dive Centre for hot showers, debriefing and signing of log books while your Guide will help you identify some of the creatures you saw with the help of our library of fish identification books.
