Jordan Wines
Capetown
Gary and Kathy Jordan have been making world-class wines since 1993. From the Jordan hillside vineyards, one has spectacular panoramic views of Table Mountain, False Bay & Stellenbosch. The family-owned property is situated at the upper end of the Stellenbosch Kloof with spectacular view on five winemaking areas including Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Durbanville and Constantia as well as Table Bay and False Bay. The North, South, East and West facing slopes are planted with classic varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Flagship wines include the single vineyard Cobblers Hill, Nine Yards Chardonnay and Mellifera NLH. A modern cellar and the formidable husband and wine winemaking team ensure that only top quality wines are produced.
Surrounding hillsides have been restored to fynbos, attracting porcupines and local attraction, the Cape Dwarf Chameleon. The shrubs around the winery are home to the chameleon and a bursary programme commenced in 2007 will ensure ongoing research into the wine industry and the dwarf chameleon.
Recent refurbishment of the Jordan Winery tasting room offers visitors an even greater Winelands experience, where personal service from informed staff makes this one of the finest cellars to visit on the Stellenbosch Wine Route. Book a personal cellar tour and enjoy some of the best wines that Stellenbosch has to offer.
