Description

Pick up at 9:00am at your accommodation in Cape Town. We are flexible, should you wish to begin your tour earlier or later. From there, we will embark on a brief drive-by city orientation tour to view some of the important historical monuments in the city. After picking you up from your hotel, our first stop will be Bo-Kaap, also known as the Cape Malay Quarter, where you will have the opportunity to take photos with the colourful houses and learn more about their historical meaning. From Bo-Kaap, we will travelling along the Atlantic Seaboard and passing through Clifton and Camps Bay. Camps Bay is a very affluent area with a beautiful stretch of beach and promenade. Here, you will capture postcard perfect photos with the Twelve Apostles mountains on one side and Camps Bay Beachfront on the other. Passing through Llandudno, which is home to some of Cape Town's most expensive real estate, we will stop at Hout Bay Harbour. Take this unique opportunity of a 45-minute boat cruise to Seal (Duiker) Island to view the seals colony. Should you prefer to skip the boat cruise, visit the market or curio shop for some shopping, refreshments or restrooms. From Hout Bay, we will travel along Chapmans Peak Drive, one of the most beautiful drives in the world. We stop at the Chapmans peak viewpoint to take some breathtaking photos and marvel at the beauty of sun-glazed oceans sparkling for as far as the eye can see. Travelling along the Atlantic coastline, with views of Long Beach in the distance, an optional stop at Noordhoek Farm Village will be offered. Coffee lovers will enjoy an optional coffee at the Village Roast, one of the best coffee brewers in Cape Town. For those with a sweet tooth, can try out the best Ice Cream in Cape Town, Kirstens Kick Ass Ice Cream. After the short break, we will drive to one of the most historic nature reserves in South Africa, Cape of Good Hope affords us the opportunity to explore the historical monuments of Diaz and Da Gama and take our photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board. From the Cape of Good Hope, we proceed to Cape Point where we can either take a short walk to the cape point lighthouse or we can take an optional Funicular to the lighthouse at an additional cost. From the Cape Point lighthouse, we can take a peak through the telescope and explore the rest of the lighthouse. This is the official meeting point of the Two Ocean Currents: Cold Benguela and the Warm Agulhas currents. Lunch options at Cape Point are the Two Oceans Restaurant for a fresh seafood sit down lunch, or grab a takeaway from the informal eatery. Departing from Cape Point, we will make our way along the coast to Boulders Penguins Colony, where we will view the African penguins frolicking on the beach. These enchanting sea creatures love to wander off the beach and you may find them striding next to you on the boardwalk. Return to Cape Town and pass through Fish Hoek and Muizenburg before drop-off at your accommodation.
