Description

Head to Gansbaai, a town located approximately 2.5 hours from Cape Town, and enjoy a shark cage diving experience. Learn about great white sharks and their importance to marine ecosystems. Upon arrival, be welcomed with light refreshments. Then, attend a safety briefing, covering the equipment, cage diving procedures, and conservation practices. Learn fascinating facts about great white sharks, their behavior, and their importance to marine ecosystems. The boat ride to the diving site takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the Gansbaai coastline and surrounding waters. Marine wildlife such as dolphins, seals, and seabirds are often spotted during the journey. Groups take turns entering the cage, which can accommodate 4-6 people at a time. No diving experience is necessary. Participants wear wetsuits and masks and breathe naturally while submerged. The crew uses bait and chum to attract sharks to the vicinity, ensuring ethical practices that do not harm the animals.
