Description

Make your way to one of the pickup locations in Cape Town City Centre and hop aboard a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Then, sit back and relax as you travel to the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway's Lower Cable Station. Once there, skip the ticket lines and join the queue to board one of the panoramic cable cars. Enjoy a five-minute ride to the top of the mountain, 1,067 meters above Cape Town. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape as you travel, including the Cape Town cityscape, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Table Mountain Nature Reserve. Once at the top, step out onto the plateau and be greeted by the crisp mountain air and the rugged landscape stretching out before you. Take a moment to soak up the 360-degree views of Cape Town, Table Bay, and the nearby peaks of the surrounding mountains. You can also opt to hit one of three walking trails that start at the Upper Cable Station. As you walk, you'll get the opportunity to explore one of the richest floristic areas in the world, with over 1,460 species of plants. And be sure to keep an eye out for the local wildlife too, including dassies, lizards, and birdlife. Once you've worked up an appetite, head to any one of the restaurants on the summit and grab a bite to eat or a refreshing beverage. And make sure you visit one of the souvenir stores on Table Mountain to purchase a memento of your visit before you leave. End your Table Mountain experience with a return cable car ride to the base of the mountain, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to Cape Town Central.
