Description
Day 1: Travel along Route 62, crossing the Overberg region of the Western Cape. Visit Ronnie’s Sex Shop, then continue to Oudtshoorn, known as South Africa’s Ostrich Capital and home to the Cango Caves National Monument. Overnight in Oudtshoorn with dinner included.
Day 2: After breakfast, tour a local ostrich farm. Proceed to Knysna for lunch and explore the Knysna Heads. Optional extras include visiting Knysna Elephant Park to feed and walk with elephants, or an ocean safari in Plettenberg Bay to spot dolphins and whales. Stop at Bloukrans Bridge for those interested in bungee jumping from the world’s highest bungee at 216 meters. Overnight in Storms River Village with breakfast and dinner included.
Day 3: Hike the Tsitsikamma National Park to the Storms River mouth and Cross the Hanging Bridge, with opportunities to swim in the Indian Ocean. Continue to the Garden Route Game Lodge for a Big 5 sunset game drive and a three-course dinner. Overnight in award-winning chalets or lodge rooms with breakfast and dinner included.
Day 4: Early morning game drive to see more wildlife, followed by breakfast. Travel to Hermanus for land-based whale watching (seasonal) and enjoy cliff-side walks. On the return journey to Cape Town, visit Stony Point to see the local penguin colony with views over False Bay. Breakfast included.
