This full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula suits nature lovers and history enthusiasts, offering views, wildlife, and landmark visits from Cape Town.
The tour begins in Cape Town's City Bowl, passing the V&A Waterfront and Atlantic Seaboard suburbs including Green Point, Sea Point, Clifton, and Camps Bay. These areas feature Blue Flag beaches bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and Twelve Apostle mountains.
Next is Hout Bay, a fishing village where you may join an optional boat trip to Seal Island for coastal panoramas. The drive continues along Chapman's Peak Drive, a cliff-hugging route with striking vistas weather permitting.
You will visit Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, noted for its rugged cliffs and flora. Here, ascend to the Cape Point Lighthouse by a short hike or funicular railway to view the ocean where whales and dolphins are sometimes seen.
The tour then stops at Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins since 1982. Walk the boardwalks to observe their behaviour and photograph the birds.
Lunch is served at Seaforth or Harbour House, both with coastal views and local cuisine.
