Description

The tour starts at Masicorp's Chasmay Road Campus, sharing a workshop with the Songezo Youth Cycling Academy, inspired by South Africa’s first Black cyclist, Songezo Jim. Your local guide will cycle you around the township, visiting significant locations and explaining Xhosa customs.

Stops include the local library, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and during school days a visit to a local crèche where teachers manage challenging conditions. Part of the tour proceeds help improve the crèche’s facilities. On Sundays, the tour may include a visit to a local gospel church.

Lunch is either at an African restaurant or hosted in a local woman’s home, offering authentic African tea or lunch.
