Seal Island and Cape Point Full-Day Shared Tour from Cape Town

This full-day shared tour from Cape Town combines marine wildlife viewing with coastal scenery, ideal for travellers seeking nature and wildlife experiences.

Description

Your tour begins with pickup from your Cape Town accommodation. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard through Sea Point, Camps Bay, and Llandudno while your guide highlights key viewpoints and landmarks.

First, arrive at Hout Bay fishing harbour, surrounded by steep mountains. You can choose to join a shared boat cruise to Seal Island to see large colonies of Cape fur seals resting and playing on offshore rocks.

After returning, continue along Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the world’s most scenic roads. Stop at a viewpoint for photography and to enjoy the ocean views and winding cliffs.

Next, enter Cape Point Nature Reserve, where you will explore the lighthouse and coastal paths. Your guide will share information about maritime history and the ecosystem of this protected area.

Visit the Cape of Good Hope for photos at the famous sign and take a short walk if conditions allow. Then travel to Simon’s Town and Boulders Beach to see the African penguin colony via wooden boardwalks that provide close but respectful viewing.

Depending on timing and traffic, the return journey may include passing through Muizenberg, known for its colourful beach huts and surfing culture, before concluding at your original Cape Town pickup point.
