Select your preferred hike between Lion's Head and Table Mountain when booking.
Lion's Head Options
- Sunrise: Begin before dawn using provided flashlights, reaching the summit in time to watch the sunrise.
- Sunset: Start a few hours before sunset, reach the summit about an hour prior, then descend to a less crowded viewpoint to watch the sunset before returning in twilight. Flashlights provided as needed.
Meet your guide at the trailhead or arrange hotel pickup. The hike involves steady-paced hiking, scrambling, and climbing to a 669-meter summit with views of Cape Town, Table Mountain, and the Twelve Apostles.
Table Mountain Options
- Direct Route (Platteklip Gorge): The most direct and less technical route, featuring hundreds of rock steps. Duration approximately 2.5 hours.
- Adventurous Route (India Venster): A rugged, technical, and less crowded route involving rock scrambling. Duration approximately 3.5 hours.
Hike to the top and take the cable car down if operational. If the cable car is closed, the hike back down is on foot via the direct route.
