This popular hike features a spiralling trail that gradually ascends the mountain, offering changing panoramic views of Cape Town.

The trail begins on a well-marked path that climbs around the mountain with scenic views in every direction. Higher sections require hand scrambling over rocks. The route includes a steep climb to the first ladder, a narrow ledge with chain handrails, and a fork with two short rock pitches and ladders leading to the southeast ridge crest.

The final section to the 669-meter summit involves a short scramble and ladder climb. From the top, enjoy panoramic views of Cape Town, Table Mountain, and the Atlantic coast.
