Experience Cape Town’s coast from the water on a sailboat while sipping local sparkling wine. The cruise offers views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean as the sun sets.
The sailboats Esperance and Serenity One follow the wind, so the route varies based on weather. In summer, the cruise typically sails across Table Bay towards Milnerton Lighthouse, returning to Granger Bay by Table Mountain to watch the sunset before heading back to the Waterfront.
In winter, with northwesterly winds, the cruise may head towards Clifton or the Robben Island coastline before returning to Granger Bay and the Waterfront. Occasionally, when weather conditions require, a motorboat is used, cruising slowly along the Atlantic seaboard to Clifton Beach and back.
When seas are too rough or winds too strong, the cruise shifts to Cape Town Harbor, offering views of Table Mountain and city lights from the safety of the harbor. In extreme weather, the skipper may remain dockside for passenger safety.
