Next, we drive through the cobbled streets of the culturally significant Bo-Kaap, absorbing the fascinating Cape Malay heritage and local traditions with a guide born and raised there, before popping in at a cultural museum. As the day unfolds, we visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens to delight in a meal set in nature. Day 2: Cape Point, Penguins, Cape of Good Hope Embark on an exploration of the Cape Peninsula, one of the world’s most scenic coastal journeys. We travel along the beautiful False Bay, passing the colorful beach huts at Muizenberg, the artistic fishing village of Kalk Bay, and the historic naval town of Simon’s Town, to meet the funny little African penguins at Boulders Beach Penguin Colony. Next we explore the cliffs, ocean views, and wildlife in the Cape Peninsula Nature Reserve and visit the famous Cape of Good Hope and the historical lighthouse while savoring spectacular scenery. Depending on your preference, we indulge in optional stops at a boutique vineyard, local café, or an ostrich farm for a more family-friendly experience. The lovely day culminates with a drive along Chapman’s Peak, a breathtaking coastal drive offering exceptional photography opportunities. This tour can include a hike to experience the Cape's famous Lion's Head sunrise, or the breathtaking Cape of Good Hope - with trail selections adapted according to fitness level and weather conditions.
