Description
Walk the streets of Langa with a local guide and gain an intimate glimpse into Cape Town’s oldest township. This 2.5-hour tour combines history, culture and everyday life: visit the Langa Heritage Museum and the Guga S’thhebe cultural centre, view colourful murals and community art projects, and meet artisans and market vendors who shape the neighbourhood today.
Along the way you’ll hear stories of resistance and resilience from a guide who grew up or works in Langa, taste a traditional snack at a locally run eatery (included), and enjoy a short live drumming or cultural demonstration when available. The tour is designed to be respectful and community-focused — proceeds support local businesses and cultural initiatives.
We recommend booking a guided tour rather than visiting alone for deeper context and safety — many reputable operators include community access and local knowledge as part of the experience.
