Description
The hike begins before dawn with headlamps and backpacks, while Cape Town is still quiet. From Lion’s Head, enjoy views of Camps Bay, Clifton, and the distant Atlantic Ocean’s sound below. After about 1.5 hours of hiking and scrambling, reach the summit to witness the sunrise painting the sky orange, pink, and red.
At the top, relax with Rooibos tea, snacks, and photo opportunities. The return walk takes you back slowly, completing a total hike time of around 3 to 3.5 hours.
Moderate fitness is needed, but no advanced athletic skills are required. Pickup and drop-off can be arranged within the Atlantic Seaboard (up to and including Camps Bay) and the City Bowl.
