World of Birds
Capetown
World of Birds is considered to be the largest bird park in Africa, and is one of the few large bird parks throughout the world. There are currently more than 3,000 birds and small animals in the park, with 400 different species. These are all uniquely presented in the spacious landscaped walk-through aviaries, which allow for an intimate encounter with nature.
The World of Birds is set in a tropical garden in the beautiful Hout Bay Valley, and the aviaries are spaced over an impressive 4 hectares of land, just a short distance, from Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles, Chapman's Peak, and Little Lion's Head. As such, the World of Birds is a true paradise for nature lovers, and over the years has established itself as one of Cape Town's top tourist attractions which comes highly recommended for locals and travellers alike.
On average, more than 100 000 visitors pass through World of Birds, and with its ideal location in Hout Bay, it makes for an ideal stop when looking for things to do in this unique part of the Cape. Coupled with a drive across Chapman's Peak, or a quick meal at any one of the numerous Hout Bay restaurants, a trip to the World Of Birds will be a truly memorable experience.
