Namaqualand is renowned for the fabulous wild flower displays in Spring (September to August), though the people living in this harsh land love sharing their hospitality. Even out of 'season', they will explore some historically fascinating places there. Namaqualand has got a lot to offer, even a 'Wild West' as Thea mentioned to me, with mining rushes and even a mule train! Worth the time to sit and listen to all the great stories.
