Over the years the regulars at Woodstock Lounge & Bar have witnessed changes, up-grades and improvements to the building and the business. They have built a 'local business' for the Capetonians where everyone knows your name! As a result they have seen people meet, get married, get divorced, have children and sadly die, not all in the same family, thank goodness. The local support and friendships been build are amazing, with the first customers still visiting regularly.
A wood fire, homemade thin bases with their own napoletana sauce. Fresh and tasty toppings all makes for an awesome pizza. With a selection of The Armchair, The Couch, The Rocker, to Balfour, Salisbury, Chamberlian and Brabant you cannot get more local (all names of streets in Woodstock!) You are welcome to challenge the barman with any request on cocktails, or choose from; Mojitos, Capirinhas or a Classic Margaritas to mention but a view.
The music is regularly commented on as they play chilled lounge music that is non commercial and you will not hear it in every bar or restaurant in town.
Saturday is sport day especially if the Springboks are playing. Whether it be Football, Rugby, Tennis, Cricket if there is any international or local game being screened and you want to watch it, you have the choice of 4 flat screen TV’s to choose from.
Throughout the winter they have a log fire burning which together with Sport or just a drink to catch up with friends is a wonderful way to spend a wet, cold evening in Cape Town. Woodstock lounge and bar is also a wi-fi hot spot.
Please take note that this is a smoke-free bar; smokers can sit on the cushions provided on the pavement with a bucket for the stompies.
