Cape Farmhouse Restaurant
Capetown
Situated in a sheltered valley and surrounded by old oak trees, the 250-year-old farmhouse offers relaxing al-fresco dining - or if the weather is unpleasant, indoors in the historic farm building.
The Cape Farmhouse Restaurant, is a popular family-run concept, and is uniquely based on the road winding out towards the spectacular Cape Point Nature reserve.
The restaurant is ideally situated in a sheltered valley, and is surrounded by grand old oak trees. The 250-year-old farmhouse restaurant offers high-quality al fresco dining outdoors, and if the weather is unpleasant, dining moves indoors to the historic old farm building.
The lunchtime menu at the Cape Farmhouse is inspired by tastes from around Africa, drawing on everything from tastes, spices and herbs of Morocco right down to the Cape itself. Breakfasts are also on offer and are unsurprisingly farm-style, with home-made bread and fresh, free range eggs. As an added bonus, much of the produce as possible is gathered from their own organic vegetable gardens surrounding the establishment.
The Cape Farmhouse Restaurant also host Saturday concerts, which showcase a range of South African musicians. These are outdoor events are served up with food from the fire, and drinks are available from an on-site cash bar. The superb location, and unique dining experience, also makes it a great function venue, and they are available for weddings and functions (daytime or evenings) throughout the year
