Col'Cacchio Pizzeria Franschhoek
Franschhoek was claimed by the French way back in 1688, more recently the Italians claimed their stake in 2003 when they opened Col'Cacchio pizzeria in the valley. Home to genuine Italian food and the exceptional wine produced of the area.
The Col'Cacchio in Franschhoek has pride of place as one of the first restaurants as you enter the quaint village, and for good reason - it's delivered consistently high quality to diners looking for something a little less fnacy than its up-scale culinary collegaues just down the road.
The Col'Cacchio chain of restaurants was established back in 1992, and over the years, this pizzeria has become synonymous with superb, traditionally inspired Italian food, made to an exacting high quality and with a unique, consistent twist.
Their menu is vast and diverse, however their crisp thin based pizzas always win over new fans, and for the health conscious, they have a truly impressive array of freshly prepared salads which are carefully prepared and presented. Obviously pastas are also stars of the show, and with a selection of both traditional and experimental, all fans of Italian dining, from the conservative to the adventurous, will find something to savour.
Col'Cacchio has also made a big commitment to creating healthy dishes, and as part of this they use only the finest, freshest ingredients, despite the diverse menu on offer. All of these ingredients are crafted into their famous signature dishes, which are served up with genuine Italian spirit.
