The French Connection is a bistro-style restaurant in Haute Cabiere's Chef Patron Matthew Gordon at the healm, guests are gauranteed a delicious, easy and tasteful menu.
The French Connection focuses primarily only on making use of only the freshest ingredients, and the lunch menu typically includes a selection of delectable salads, including the popular grilled calamari & chourico sausage with wild rocket and paprika dressing, or the smoked chicken breast with roasted beetroot, hummus & garlic yoghurt dressing.
There is also a range of Pitas to choose from, along with a number of most substantial options, including their veal schnitzel with fresh porcini sauce, fillet mignon, and salmon trout. When the dinner menu rolls around, their true specialities come to the fore, with crispy roast duck, fresh mussels, and an excellent steak selection to choose from. In all, this diverse, celebrated menu has established French Connection as an all time favourite with both locals and international guest.
Given its location in Franschhoek, it's no surprise that their wine list is extensive and consists of mainly Franschhoek-based wines.
