Castle of Good Hope

Capetown

Museums Sightseeing and Tours

The Castle of Good Hope was built by the Dutch shortly after Jan van Riebeeck arrived in the Cape and was completed in 1666. It was used as a base for the Dutch East India Company. Today the Castle is still the seat of the military in Cape Town. It is well worth a visit during a trip to Cape Town, and is conveniently located in the Cape Town City Centre, just next to the Grand Parade.
