The Green Point Urban Park, located in the suburb of Green Point, is a triumph for public spaces in Cape Town. This multi-purpose outdoor park, which spans over 10 hectares of previously neglected land, includes a variety of facilities catering to a wide range of individuals.

There's a strong emphasis on fitness, wellbeing, and education in the park, with a running track, outdoor gym, and wide-open spaces where sports and activities are encouraged. Bicycles and pets on leashes are allowed, and families and groups are encouraged to spend an afternoon relaxing in the sun, playing games or simply wandering through the various gardens and features. There are also a number of educational displays at the Green Point Urban Park, and each is expertly designed to walk you through various ecological and cultural themes.
The park, which is neatly tucked between the suburbs of Green Point and Mouille Point on the Atlantic Seaboard, and just a short walk away from Cape Town Stadium and V&A Waterfront, really is a superb space, and is a must visit when in the Mother City.
