The Perdeberg district is blessed with many attributes that make producing wonderful and varied wine a pleasure. Nature’s greatest gift to us is our five different microclimates. The weather varies from vineyard to vineyard as does soil, drainage and altitude. This makes it possible for Perdeberg Wines to produce a multitude of wines with distinct qualities, all within the same area. And the blessings that Nature has bestowed on them don’t end there.

They are able to rely entirely on rainfall to quench our rich and fertile soil. Then there are the cool sea breezes that flow in from both the Indian and Atlantic oceans. They act as an effective antidote to the scorching sun and keep our plump, ripening grapes at the optimal temperature required to produce truly great wines.
