R62 Wine Tours operates in the Ashton, Bonnievale, Montagu & Robertson areas. They are an ideal company to contact when visiting the famous Route 62 on the way through to the Garden Route. R62 Wine Tours will take you on a tour through these beautiful Winelands. You will visit cellars producing award-winning wines in some of the most scenic areas in the country.
R62 Wine Tours will collect you at your accommodation in Montagu, and take you on a unique tasting experience. Guests will receive a goodie bag and a bottle of Beverly Dawn's Chenin Blanc - produced by Montagu's only working wine farm in the center of town. You will also be treated to lunch, which will either be on the Breederiver, under pepper trees or in a vintage cellar.
On each day of the week, at a selected cellar, the wine maker of the Estate being visited will take you on a guided tour through his cellar and vineyard. You can proudly take home the bottle of wine which you have blended and bottled yourself or spoil yourself at dinner while drinking your own blend. Only R1.00 corkage will be charged on your blend at selected restaurants in Montagu.
