Canal Walk Shopping Mall
Capetown
Shopping in Cape Town is one of the city's most popular activities, especially on a rainy winter's day. And Canal Walk, as the largest shopping venue in Africa consisting of over 400 stores that are open until 9pm everyday, will fix all of your retail therapy desires.
Some of the big names you might recognise include Adidas, Diesel, Guess, Lacoste, Nike, Roxy and Woolworths combined with hundreds of smaller boutique stores and brands this is a shopping destination that cannot be missed when visiting Cape Town.
For a break from the shopping there are a number of restaurants and an impressive foodcourt, that resembles the lights of Japan at night with all your favourite eateries such as McDonalds, KFC, Nando’s, Subway and many other more ‘upmarket’ dining venues. Canal Walk is also home to a 17 screen Nu Metro Cinema showing all of the latest movies and a full arcade to keep the young (and young at heart) occupied.
Canal Walk is part of the Greater Century City which includes numerous other attractions including Intaka Island, the award winning wetlands and eco-tourism attraction spanning 16 hectares; Ratanga Junction, South Africa's first full scale theme park, with over 30 rides; Golf Village, with driving range and all the necessary facilities for refining your game; and the Protea Hotel Island Club, with 23 luxury suites and fitness centre.
