The Cape Philharmonic Orchestra operates from the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town and is one of the many reasons Cape Town is being called a world class city. Locals and tourists from around the world can be wooed by magnificent power of the symphony and appreciate the power of harmony and skill.

The Cape Town Philharmonic has been on a massive drive to develop a diverse, world-class orchestra that delivers professional performances through a wide variety of activities. One such program sees the orchestra introducing children from under-privileged areas to classical instruments and orchestral harmony. The CPO also plays for the ballet, the opera, outdoor and indoor concerts, recording sessions and pop-concerts.

Ticket sale alone cannot fund modern a orchestra. Donor contributions are always welcomed. The National Lotto Development Trust Fund has awarded a 3 year grant of R12Million. This will allow CPO to continue to reach thousands of new and future classical music lovers and aspiring musicians. The Cape Philharmonic Youth Orchestra will also benefit directly as it will also allow the young musicians to attend the symphony concerts of their mentors.
