L’Avenir is owned by well-known French wine icon, Michel Laroche and winemakers Tinus Els and Abraham de Klerk combine their talents to produce wines based on quality and excellence with minimum manipulation of the terroir, a strategy which is part of the Laroche name that has been associated with world famous wines for the past 150 years.
Six of the Laroche portfolio of wines are exclusively imported from Chablis, the South of France and Chile and are sold at the estate’s tasting room along with farm-grown olives, another specialty.
The 4-star African-chic country lodge – L’Avenir Country Lodge - that overlooks a beautiful rim-flow pool and lush gardens offers luxury accommodation in a haven of peace and tranquility.
The newly renovated venue – The Venue @ L’Avenir - catering for weddings and conferences also has a rooftop facility; a must-see with the most magnificent views over the Simonsberg and Stellenbosch mountains – the perfect place for private events, cocktail parties or sundowners!
