The Arniston Hotel and Spa
Capetown
Arniston Hotel is located in a picturesque historical fisherman's village on the coast near Cape Aghulas. The town is named after the British ship the Arniston which sank here in 1815. Only 6 of the 378 passengers survived. The town is snugly nestled in between Air Force ground and two national parks - making it nearly impossible to expand the town.
And that is what makes Arniston Hotel so wonderful. Complete relaxation at (almost) the tip of Africa - away from major towns and cities. The hotel and spa are ideal for the traveller who wants to get away. The nearest town is miles away - and there are no other restaurants in the area. This is the ultimate in relaxation. The beaches are beautiful and the pace here is slower than anywhere else in the Cape.
Arniston Hotel is approximately 2 hours out of Cape Town. The road to get to Arniston passes through Sir Lowry's pass, and turns off the N2 at Caledon. A beautiful country drive that passes through farmlands and small towns. By the time you reach your destination - you are already starting to de-stress.
