La Motte is owned by Hanneli Rupert-Koegelenberg, daughter of the late Dr Anton Rupert, and managed by her husband Hein Koegelenberg. Under their leadership and guidance they have cultivated a culture of excellence at La Motte. The approach to consistent quality improvement has resulted in La Motte contributing to historical, cultural and classical music development.
Each month La Motte holds a classical concert that features emerging and recognized classical artists.
The wine estate's tasting room is a well-known destination for visitors to the valley and offers a variety of wines to taste as well as guidance on food pairings. In harmony with the production of wines, La Motte has also ventured into flower cultivation and the production of ethereal oils.
