The cool winds from nearby False Bay influence the vineyards greatly. The result of these winds, the mountain offering it's cool midday sun, seem to bring awards year after year.
The most famous of the Steenberg Wines is the Sauvignon Blanc Reserve. Catharina is an old world red blend and is named after the original farm owner Catharnia Ras.
Wine tastings are available from Mondays to Fridays from 9h00 – 16h30, and on Saturdays from 09h30 – 13h30.
