The Cape of Good Hope is located at the southernmost tip of the Cape Peninsula, approximately 2.3 kilometers (1.4 miles) west and slightly south of Cape Point on the southeast corner. Cape Town lies about 50 kilometers to the north of the Cape, situated in Table Bay at the northern end of the peninsula.
